How to start and stop recording a call in Teams?
- When you are in a meeting in Microsoft Teams, there is an option of “> Start Recording” after selecting More options…

People of the same organization involved in the meeting get the stream link on the respective meeting channel.
The recording happens directly in the Cloud and is saved to Microsoft Stream platform. Microsoft Stream is available in selected Office 365 plans – Enterprise E1, Enterprise E3, Enterprise E5.

When does recording stop automatically in Microsoft Teams?
If a recording is started and all members leave the meeting, the recording stops automatically. If the meeting is left unattended and recording continues, it records till four hours before getting terminated by itself.
Does everyone get notification of recording?
Yes. Microsoft’s Privacy Statement makes it clear that phone recording without knowledge is an offence as it violates the rights of individual privacy. Therefore, all members on the call are notified that the Teams meeting is being recorded. The notification is sent to everyone present on the Teams meeting from any device including desktop, web browser, or mobile application.
